Volunteers for the Kitty Cat Round Up set out humane traps near feral colonies several days before the date of the “Round-up” to allow the cats to get accustomed to the traps for an easier capture. Once trapped, we transport them to the spay/neuter clinic for surgery. Each cat receives surgery, shots, antibiotics, a pain injection, and are treated for fleas and intestinal parasites. They will have their ears cleaned and treated for ear mites. Their left ear is tipped for future identification that they have been altered.
