In celebration of National Feral Cat Day, Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village will be hosting A Feline Fixin’ Frenzy! Our goal is to spay & neuter 50 feral and free-roaming cats, as well as promote awareness of community cats and our TNR program.
For only $5, feral/free-roaming cats will be spayed/neutered, given a 1 year Rabies and FVRCP vaccine.
The 1st ever Feline Fixin' Frenzy was definitely a wonderful success! It was a cold and rainy day in Ohio on October 16th, but that didn't stop caretakers from bringing 45 free roaming and feral community cats to the shelter to be spayed or neutered that morning.
We almost met our goal of spaying/neutering 50 cats, but we most definitely met our ultimate goal which was to educate the public about our TNR program, as well as educating them about feral cats and how to best help them thrive.
